Maybe a Mormon assault vehicle is one that rolls up on door to door missionaries and beats them up?

The president of the Mormon Church came out a few weeks ago and said the members were all supposed to use the full name of the church when referring to it: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That’s a mouthful. I wonder what they’ll do about some traditions like The Mormon
Tabernacle Choir...

The moment in that episode where his wife questions him and it changes is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.

It’s actually a slang description for all vans in the circles , particularly extended vans. Back in the bad days when I lived amongst them in SLC, some people called those 15-passenger vans “pliggy vans”, “pliggy” being a common slang for “polygamist”.
Personally, I thought these were more like troop transports, the assault vehicles would either be minivans (more maneuverable, quicker deployment of passengers) or bicycles that missionaries ride.
